Corrupt politicians in JK protected: Bazaz

New Delhi, Oct 30: Chief of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum Pandit Bhushan Bazaz has accused the Centre of remaining silent on the issue of corruption in Jammu and Kashmir.
“It thinks it is in the national interest to maintain silence, but by remaining silent it is weakening its relationship with the people of the state,” Bazaz said.
He alleged that the state had become an island of darkness, corruption, mis-governance, favouritism and nepotism due to the denial of justice, democracy and fair play. “Without the accountability of rulers, the problems of the state cannot go away”, he said.
Bazaz said while an anti-corruption movement was going on throughout the country, corrupt politicians were being protected in the state, he added.
