18 gold medals awarded
JK PHILATELY EXHIBITION
Srinagar, Oct 3: On the concluding day of the Chinar-2011, State Level Philatelic Exhibition, medals were awarded to the students of various schools and colleges who participated in different competitions and stamp exhibition.
According to PIB communiqué, for stamp exhibition, 18 gold Medals were awarded to Marya Janan, Muneer Ahmad Dar, Sofi Zubair Ahmad, Jamsheed Bakshi, Asim Zahoor, Tara Thapa for different competitions and Government Boys Higher Secondary School Batamaloo, Muneer-ul-Islam, Yogini Jhingan (2), Aakriti Talwar, Chander M Bhat, Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Dr. Seemin Rubab, Muhammad Yusuf Bhat, Rajnish Karnik, Pallab Bose and Vikas Singh.
For stamp exhibition, 25 silver medals were awarded to Faisal Matoo, Aasim Bekkal, Rahul Raina, Mehak Bashir, Umi Farwa, Kamal Thapa for different competition and Burn Hall School, Samira Bose (2), Savita Handoo, Sajida Tabasum, Sandeep Kumar (2), Vivek Kumar, Lt. Col Harbaksh, Sumit Chandiok, B. N. Handoo, Grace Paljore, Prof. Aftab Ahmad, Ruchira Karnik, Asish Talwar, Rajnish Karnik (2), Shoumit Karnik, Maira Bose.
For stamp exhibition, 22 bronze medals were given to Bhupinder Singh, Shah Yavar for various competitions of the exhibition, Rishi Chandiok, Muhammad Waris, Linton Hall School, Uzdah Muhammad Jawaid, Government GHSS Kothi Bagh, Iqbal Memorial Institute, Ayush Gupta, Pratishuti, Archit Mahajan, Hashim Aslam Shah, Fariha Mastur, Hamidullah Shah, Habib Gulshan, Raheel Hammad, Shoumit Karnik, Ruchira Karnik (2), Maira Bose, Samira Bose.
As a part of the exhibition, Chief Post Master General’s trophy was bagged by Presentation Convent, Tyndale Biscoe/Mallinson Schools and Srinagar British School; Philately Trophy was bagged by the Burn Hall School.
