JK Grameen Bank, Maruti Suzuki ink pact

Srinagar, Oct 5: J&K Grameen Bank, one of the leading Regional Rural Banks of J&K today signed an MoU with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd for sale of its cars, a statement here said.
It said the MoU is “another initiative by the MSIL to tap the vast potential in rural market and to provide the hassle free services to the rural masses.”
The agreement was signed in presence of chairman J&K Grameen Bank Raja Abdul Lateef and General Manager of the Bank Mohit Kumar Vij. Maruti Suzuki was represented by Ankur Sharma, Regional Manager, Sudhir Mohan Sahni, Area Manager and Saurav Sharma, Territory Manager. Krishan Lal Sharma, Senior Manager (Advances) along with other officers from J&K Grameen Bank was also present at the function.
The pact shall bring “synergy in the business development of both parties involved,” it said.
Notably, the J&K Grameen Bank has a large chain of its branches in J&K while the MSIL has a strong dealer network across the state.
