'Burglars steal transformer oil'

Srinagar, Oct 6: For past two days, Alnoor Colony Hyderpora Bypass is without electricity. The residents said electricity went off on Wednesday morning and despite repeated requests to the concerned PDD officials to look into the matter, nothing was done.
The local PDD officials, as per the residents said, conveyed them that “oil has been stolen by some unknown miscreants from transformer of the area.”
“If what they are saying is true, it was matter of some hours to do the needful. We are greatly suffering on account of not having electricity,” said a delegation of residents.
The Chief Engineer PDD didn’t pick up phone despite repeated calls.
