Combine harvester used at Padgampora Farm

Srinagar, Oct 7:  Director Agriculture Kashmir Dr. Farooq A. Lone today paid a visit to Seed Multiplication Farm Padgampora.
 Spread over 338 hectares it is the largest Seed Multiplication Farm in the valley producing quality seeds of different cereal crops like Paddy, Maize, Wheat & Oats raised from the Breeder and Foundation Seed provided by SK University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology Kashmir for distribution among the farmers of the State.
 During his visit the Director was informed that the paddy crop has been cultivated on 400 kanals this year which is being harvested at present.
 He inspected the working of Combine Harvester, which has been utilized for the first time for harvesting of paddy at the farm. The machinery will save the manpower and time.
