Host in City sets example for others
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Sept 10: Setting an example worth following by others, Ghulam Hassan Khan of Firdous Colony, Iddgah Saturday made it a point that the guests who visited his home are served the feast at accurate time.
Khan on the marriage of his daughter had invited friends and relatives to grace the occasion. The invitation cards distributed by Khan had assured the guests that lunch will be served at accurate 2 PM to gents and 3:30 PM to ladies.
A good number of guests who had arrived in time did not believe the lunch will be served on time. But they were surprised to find that the host was honest enough to fulfil his commitment.
“The host ensured that the guests are served the lunch at the time which was mentioned in the card,” said Muhammad Ayub a guest.
Ayub of Sekidaffar said such practice is worth imitating by one and all. “We all should take a cue from it. The guests not only enjoyed the feast but also did not lose time in waiting for the lunch, as is otherwise usual on such occasions.”
The guests hailed the host for following what he had mentioned in the invitation card.
“This shows the boldness of the host. He did not care for those who were late. He ensured those who were in should get the lunch in time and as per commitment.”
