Kishtwar, Sep 10: The team of National Investigation Agency (NIA), which was probing the HuJI e-mail regarding Delhi High Court blast, returned to Delhi on Saturday without any breakthrough in the case.
Well informed sources told Greater Kashmir that the team members returned this afternoon as the mystery deepened about the identity of the youth, who sent the mail claiming responsibility of the blast.
“Though around half a dozen persons continue to be in police detention, the main culprit remained unidentified”, sources said. They added that the NIA team took six seized hard drives and one CPU for further examination.
They said the Police meanwhile, seized at least two computers from a private residence this afternoon. Though the officials continue to be tight lipped over the case, sources said police continue to grope in dark as investigations are stuck midway.
The parents of a youth Shoaib Ahmed Sheikh, who was detained in connection with the case, yesterday claimed that their son was innocent and is not involved in any such incident. "Our son is innocent," Mushtaq Ahmed Sheikh, father of Shoaib, told reporters here today.
Mushtaq and his wife said if their son is found guilty he should hanged.
Shoaib, the BA first year student was picked up yesterday after a three-hour search at a college in Kishtwar and whisked away to Global Cyber Cafe for interrogation by a joint team of police, NIA and cyber experts led by Deputy Inspector General (Kishtwar-Doda-Ramban range) Muneesh Sinha.
The others who were picked up and interrogated in this regard included Global Cyber cafe owner Mehmood Aziz Khawja, his brother Majid Aziz, Manager Ashwani, Imran, Ashiq Hussain and Sunny.
Investigators had traced the HuJI email claiming responsibility for the blast outside the Delhi High Court to a cyber cafe in Kishtwar. The email was sent from a cyber cafe in Kishtwar from the address harkat-uljihadi2011@gmail.com. The outfit had on Wednesday claimed responsibility for the blast outside the Delhi High Court which killed 13 people.
