PFL concerned at Altaf’s detention

Srinagar: Peoples’ Freedom League has expressed serious concern over the continued detention of its ailing chief organizer, Muhammad Altaf, terming it highly condemnable.  “Altaf was arrested in the state of illness on September 3, from his residence, Bandipora, and taken to SOG camp Aloosa. After subjecting him to physical torture for three days, he was shifted to JIC Humhama where he was again subjected to torture for four days. Now he has been shifted to Bandipora police station. He has not been produced in the court since his arrest. He is suffering from severe renal diseases,” said a spokesman of the League in a statement on Saturday.
