Civil Defence holds disaster preparedness training

Srinagar: Civil Defence organized community disaster preparedness training for volunteers of Srinagar and Ganderbal.  The training has been organized for the benefit of the community on the instructions of Additional; DGP, Civil Defence, Home Guards and Auxiliary Police, and Dr. Ram Lubhayya. The inaugural function was attended by Muhammad Rafiq, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, Omar Nedo, Chief Warden, Mauzam Bakshi, Dy Chief Warden, Aamir Ali, OSD with Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and Inspector, Muhammad Rafiq. As many as 45 volunteers from various professions hailing from Srinagar and Ganderbal are attending the training in first-aid, search and rescue and fire fighting imparted by expert trainer Abdul Gaffar at Regional Civil Defence, Control Room (RCDC) Kothibagh, Srinagar.
