Pulwama gets Rs1.46 cr plan for horticulture dev
Pulwama, Sep 12: A plan of Rs 146.52 lakh would be spent under Horticulture Technology Mission during the current financial year in Pulwama district.
It was stated in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Shafat Noor, an official statement said.
The meeting reviewed many programmes which are currently under the mission. Joint Director Planning and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was said that 48 hectares of land would be covered under the mission so that various kinds of fresh and dry fruit can be developed on the modern lines and added that Rs. 50,000 would be spent on this programme. Besides, 160 fruit growers would be provided spray machines with Rs. 28 lakh subsidy. It was also said that 50 fruit growers would be provided power spray machines with subsidy of Rs. 9 lakh.
