Suicidal Deaths Continue in Kashmir
2 GIRLS END LIFE AT SHOPIAN, ISLAMABAD
Srinagar, Sep 12: With suicidal deaths continuing in Valley, two more girls ended their lives at different places.
According to police spokesman, a girl of Mujmarg Zainapora, Shopian ended her life allegedly by consuming some poisonous substance at her home. Police has registered a case.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a girl of Gawran Larnoo in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her home and was shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment, police said, adding the girl expired in the hospital.
The body of the deceased was handed over to family for last rites, police said adding a case had been registered.
LANDSLIDE KILLS GIRL IN ASHMUQAM
A girl was killed and two others injured when a landslide hit them at Hapatnar, Ashmuqam in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.
According to police spokesman, three girls, while digging the soil in the village Chrakpora Hapatnar came under the land slide resulting in on the spot death of Humaira Jan daughter of Showkat Ahmad and injuries to Ruby Jan daughter of Muhammad Rafiq Bhat and Masarat Jan daughter of Gul Bhat of Chrakpora Hapatnar.
The wounded have been hospitalized and the body of the deceased has been handed over to family for last rites, police added.
BEAR INJURES MAN
A bear attacked and wounded a man at Viddy Srigufwara in Islamabad, (Anantnag).
According to the police, the wounded has been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Muhammad Ganaie of Viddy. The injured has been hospitalized, police added.
BUNG DESTROYED
Police, Excise and Revenue Department officials destroyed Bung cultivation spread over 250 kanals of land in villages Hayar and Dupatyar Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district.
PDD EMPLOYEE HURT
An employee of Power Development Department was wounded due to an electric shock.
According to police spokesman, Bashir Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Nabi of Gohan Vailoo Kokernag in Islamabad (Anantnag) fell down from an electric poll after receiving an electric shock. Police said Bashir Ahmad Mir suffered injuries in the incident, adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
