Tara to inaugurate Sanitation Week on September 16

DEPUTY Chief Minister Tara Chand will inaugurate Sanitation Week on September 16 while a specially designed “eco-friendly” van will stage road-shows in various areas of the City to make people aware of the benefits of sanitation, the SMC Commissioner announced.
 Looking ahead for public support to make the event a success he said, public awareness functions would be held in all the areas of the City while emphasis would be laid on the informing the schoolchildren about “clean green environment.”
 “Children are not only the future but can prove the best workforce in the awareness campaign aimed at making Srinagar a clean green City,” the Commissioner said.
