Infiltration bid foiled, claims BSF

Jammu, Sep 13: Paramilitary BSF on Tuesday claimed that it foiled an infiltration bid along Indo-Pak border in Ramgarh sub-sector of Samba district.
 “BSF men of 59 Battalion, who were guarding the Nursery Border out Post in Ramgarh sub-sector, noticed some suspicious movement along Basanter Nallah around 2 am. They spotted five armed militants who were attempting to cross the Basanter Nallah,” a BSF official said. “They were challenged by the BSF men.
 Instead of returning  militants opened fire triggering a gun battle between the two sides which continued for more than half an hour following which the militants retreated.”
