SIC caught on wrong foot
Srinagar, Sep 13: A Right to Information application has caught the State Information Commission on the wrong foot with regard to training programmes for its staff.
In response to the RTI application filed by Raman Sharma, the SIC has revealed that it hasn’t conducted any training for its staff—something which has surprised the RTI activists.
“How can the Commission expect other agencies to follow the Act when its own staff is not trained in the legislation,” said an RTI activist.
