Kathmandu, Sep 15: Nepal's new Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai today said that his government is working towards taking the peace process to its "logical end" and preparing a draft Constitution within the next three months.
 "The peace process will be taken to its logical end and a draft Constitution will be ready within the next three month's period," he said during an interaction at his official residence at Baluwatar.
 He said the "government will give top priority to the twin task of accomplishing the peace process and promulgating the Constitution".
 The Prime Minister, who belongs to the Maoist party, said that he is holding consultations with various political parties, including main opposition Nepali Congress, to expedite the peace process.
 Bhattarai said that he would like to show some "tangible progress" in the peace process to the people, especially with regard to the regrouping of the Maoist combatants for their integration and rehabilitation, before he leaves Kathmandu for attending the UN General Assembly in New York from September 18 to 24, according to his press adviser Ramrijhan Yadav.
 The Prime Minister said he is seriously working towards forming a team of experts for economic transformation of the country with a view to bringing economic prosperity.
 To a question on the government's initiative to withdraw cases against hundreds of Maoist cadres, he said "only political cases will be withdrawn, not the criminal cases."
 The Prime Minister also vowed that he would quit if he failed to work for the interest of the people.
