IIIM Sanat Nagar hosts 56th tree talk

Srinagar, Sep 15: Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) Srinagar Thursday hosted the 56th Tree Talk at its Sanat Nagar campus.
 A handout said more than 60 participants comprising of senior scientists, forest officers, floriculturists, horticulturists, medicinal plant growers, small scale entrepreneurs and research students took part in the programme.
 Tree Talk host O P Sharma highlighted  the diversity of native agricultural and horticultural crops and its connectivity with wild plants seen growing in forests of Kashmir.
 Dr A S Shawl, Head IIIM Sanat Nagar highlighted latest research initiatives of IIIM Lab regarding “extraction of Bioactive chemical compounds from medicinal and aromatic plants like Rosemary. Others who attended the program include S Gurcharan Singh, Ashok Toshkhani, Dr Pervaiz Qazi,Javed Kakroo, Sabeena Mukhtiyar, Rubina Mir,Shakeel,Muzzafar, Ali Muhammad Lone, Kapil, Muhammad Younis, Muhammad  Ayub, Misba Maqbool, Romaisa,Alsaba, Samiullah, Showkat Rashid and Amit Sharma.
