Speaker seeks legislators cooperation in smooth conduct of session

Srinagar, Sep 15: Seeking cooperation of legislators in the smooth functioning of forthcoming Assembly session, Speaker Muhammad Akbar Lone Thursday assured ample opportunities to them for raising issues of public importance.
 Chairing a meeting of Legislature Party Leaders/Chief Whips, Lone exhorted the legislators to respect parliamentary traditions while highlighting peoples’ problems to seek their redressal. He said it is the bounden duty of every Legislator to hold government accountable with regard to development demands and issues of their respective areas.
 Legislators from Congress, National Conference, PDP, BJP and Independent MLA participated in the meeting.
 Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Advisor to Chief Minister Mubarak Gul, Legislator Ch. Muhammad Aslam, Ch. Muhammad Ramzan, Hakeem Muhammad Yasin, Abdul Gafar Sofi, Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Jugal Kishore and Ashok Kumar Sharma, who participated in the meeting assured full co-operation in making the session successful and memorable.
 Among others, Secretary Assembly M. Ramzan, Additional Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
