Sports department developing sports fields across JK: G H Mir
Trapai, Sep 17: Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that government has launched a comprehensive programme to augment and uplift the basic infrastructural facilities to the sports lovers in Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister was speaking in a concluding function of AB- Enterprise Cricket Tournament held here today.
He said that funds were being released to sports department to develop the sports field and other necessary infrastructure across the state particularly in rural areas.
Mir said that J&K youth have enormous talent in various curricular activities besides education and asked the concerned to provide them a chance for nourishing the talent in right direction. He said that government is providing every possible assistance to the students for en mass participation in district, divisional, provincial state and national level tournament.
Later, the Minister distributed the trophies among the wining and runner-up teams and mementos among participants.
The AB- Enterprise Cricket Tournament was started the tournament on 26 May, 2011 and 48 teams participated in the tournament. 248 matches were held in 4month long tournament. The final match was held between Hurdsursh vs Dalwash and the latter won it by 4runs.
