Mehbooba’s friend sought favour from Modi: Sushma

GK MONITORING DESK

Srinagar, Sep 19: Leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha and senior Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Sushma Sawraj on Monday claimed that a friend of  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti, had sought a favour from Gujarat Chief Minister Narendar Modi which was granted immediately.
“At a recent meeting of National Integration Council, Mehbooba Mufti, president of the PDP, a party opposed to BJP, said that a Muslim friend of hers wanted to invest in Gujarat and was astonished to be quickly granted an appointment, and that when he did meet Modi, had a decision in half an hour,” Sawaraj told a gathering after Modi broke his 3-day Sadbhavana fast at Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
“You can accuse an Advani or a Sushma of bias. But this was Mehbooba Mufti,” Sawraj added.
When contacted the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said, “I have never praised Modi. It is all rubbish.”
