Road mishaps
This refers to the recent road accident in Ramban. Every now and then road accidents take place along the Srinagar-Jammu highway and other highways in J&K. The situation is worse even in Srinagar. Recently some tragic road mishaps took place in the city. This is a very serious concern which the state government is taking very lightly. There is a need to examine this issue at the highest levels and ensure that whatever requires to be done is done without any delay. The widening of the Srinagar-Jammu highway is going on at snail’s pace. The Government has miserably failed to address the issue. There is need for a policy intervention with regard to addressing the issue of road accidents which are consuming precious lives every now and then.
