Class 10th students for change in date-sheet
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Sep 20: The students of class 10th who are appearing in the Board of School Education examination in October have demanded change in date-sheet.
As per the date-sheet the annual examination for Class 10th shall be held from October 13. A group of students told Greater Kashmir that there are insufficient gaps between different papers. “There is just one gap between Science and Social Science paper. Science paper is on October 17 while Social Science on October 19. We have to study three books [History, Civics, Geography] for Social Science subject in one day,” they said.
The students said “this is sheer injustice with them especially when there is single-paper scheme for different subjects.” “There should have been at least three gaps each between subjects so that students don’t feel stressed. Nowhere does the Board issues such a harsh date-sheet where students have to feel over-burdened and mentally stressed,” they said.
The students said the Board authorities should change the date-sheet on humanitarian grounds. “We request the Board secretary to personally intervene in the matter and address our grievance,” they said.
