Cong leader takes on Shoaib
He has ruined the party in JK: Viqar
Srinagar, Sep 20: Youth Congress General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar and Uttarakhand, Viqar Rasool on Tuesday alleged that state youth Congress President, Shoaib Nabi Lone had ruined the party in the state.
“Shoaib is taking undue advantage of Congress and is issuing statements even after the Youth Congress has been dissolved by the high command. Since Shoaib was appointed as Youth President for Jammu and Kashmir, Congress has been ruined in the state,” Viqar, who is also a Congress legislator told local news agency KNS.
He said Shoaib had no authority to issue statements on behalf of the party as the youth wing has already been dissolved.
Viqar who also Banihal constituency in the state Assembly said, “Rahul Gandhi is visiting Kashmir after which the membership drive would be launched. Youth in the age group of 18-35 will be eligible for becoming youth Congress members,” he said and added that the party intends to enroll five lakh members in the state.
