Science exhibition held

Srinagar, Sep 20: Director School Education Kashmir, Shagufta Parveen on Tuesday stressed on the teaching community to work “much harder to inculcate scientific temper” among the students.
 Parveen, who was the Chief Guest at the Provincial Level Science Exhibition hosted by State Institute of Education, Bemina, was impressed to see various science models created by the students, 70 of whom had come from various parts of Kashmir.
 The participants had qualified the district level competitions and displayed various models mostly pertaining to bio diversity and solar heating system.
 As for the Chief Guest she appreciated the projects on grafting and drip water irrigation.
 AH Kumar, the Field Advisor coordinated the program while the Joint Director MA Reshi hailed its smooth conduction.
 The first prize was bagged by Najma Yousuf of Higher Secondary School Jamia Kadeem Sopore, second was bagged by Moin Ul Haque of HAPF Awantipora while the third was bagged by Najma Shahar of Rosy Tots, Islamabad.
