Akhoon meets CAM officials

Srinagar, Sep 23: The Committee set up to conduct survey of Kargil airport for ensuring round- the-year air connectivity, headed by Deputy Director General Civil Aviation Lalit Gupta met the Minister for Transport Qamar Ali Akhoon today.
 During the meeting, they discussed the feasibility of operation of flights from Srinagar-Kargil and Kargil-Jammu, particularly during winter month when Srinagar-Kargil Highway remain closed.
 It was decided that committee will conduct on-the-spot inspection of Kargil airport tomorrow and furnish report to Union Ministry of Civil Aviation.
 Among others, Commissioner Civil Aviation, S. Katoch, Special Secretary to Chief Minister, Zafar Ahmad, Director Srinagar Airport Authority, Captain R.K. Malik were present on the occasion.
