New Delhi has unleashed unilateral violence: Malik
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Sep 23: The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Friday said Kashmiris would continue their struggle despite “unilateral violence resorted to by New Delhi to suppress it.”
Malik while addressing a function at Khankahi Moula here on the Rasm-ul-Qul of noted Islamic scholar and Imam and Khateeb of Khankahi Moula Moulana Aziz-ud-Din here said, “We Kashmiris are engaged in peaceful and democratic struggle. The armed forces are showering bullets on our youth despite the fact that we renounced gun at the insistence of international community and made an exemplary transition from violence to non-violence. Despite this transition, there is no let up in unilateral state violence. It is imperative on the part of the international community to give an encouraging response to our positive attitude and persuade India and Pakistan to take sincere steps to resolve Kashmir issue. New Delhi has unleashed unilateral violence to suppress our struggle. Our youth are arrested, subjected to worst torture and stuffed into jails under draconian laws,” said Malik, adding that ''This is the right time when the international community should pay attention towards the miserable plight of Kashmiris and take effective steps to put an immediate halt to unilateral state violence unleashed against them. Besides international community, the justice loving institutions of India should also take notice of atrocities being perpetrated on Kashmiris and put in efforts for resolving Kashmir issue.”
Malik paid glowing tributes to Moulana Aziz-ud-Din and threw a detailed light on the historical importance of Khankahi Moula. He also honoured the newly appointed Imam Moulvi Ghulam Muhammad and naib Imam Bilal Ahmad.
