Capital punishment

The capital question by Dr. Mirza Ashraf Beg (GK 23/9) must open the eyes of the people who are bend upon to derail the peace by playing the mischievous card of Afzal Guru.
Dr. Mirza referred to Alfatah case which is very close to my heart. My close relative who was just in 11th class was also behind bars for two and half years and Muhammad Afzal Beg was kind enough to plead their case and all innocents were saved from the gallows. Well said by Dr Beg that mercy can never be like alms to be given in a begging bowl. It would lose its sanctity in that sense.
