Rs 8 cr solar energy project inaugurated

Srinagar, Sep 25: To expand electrification programme, the government would provide 6859 solar home lights to the families of various un-electrified villages in district Ramban.
The lights shall be distributed under the Remote Village Electrification (RVE) programme of government of India.
In this connection the scheme was today launched in District Ramban by DDC Ramban Shabir Ahmad Bhat, where distributed the lights among the bon fide beneficiaries.
The lights costing over Rs 8 crore have been procured by J&K Energy Development Agency, Science & Technology of J&K government.
M/S Tata BP Solar India Limited, a Bangalore-based company has already supplied the solar lights.
Pertinently, Tata BP Solar is executing an order from J&K Energy Development Agency for supply/ installation of over 15000 Solar Home Lighting Systems for various Districts of J&K including Ramban.
M/s Green Technologies & Solutions Srinagar the channel partners of TATA BP Solar India Ltd is executing the installation and commissioning as well as providing after sale service for Solar Home Lights in un-electrified villages of Jammu & Kashmir.
Apart from many officers of the District ACD Ramban , District officer JAKEDA Ramban , the BDO concerned and locals in good numbers were present on the occasion.
