Cultural program organized at IUST
Srinagar, Sep 26: BBA 5th Semester School of Business Islamic University of Science and Technology organized a cultural meets at the varsity’s auditorium.
The program “Let us make promising promenade towards Kashmiri folklore and procrastinate the imported customs’ was sponsored by J&K academy for Art, Languages and Culture.
IUST Vice-Chancellor, Prof A R Trag was the chief guest and Cultural Academy secretary, Zaffar Iqbal was the guest of honour.
Dean Business School, Aijaz Aatoo, HOD Business School Aijaz Akbar were among the guests of honour.
On the occasion, Manhas stressed on nurturing of Kashmiri culture and advised youth to become true followers of Kashmiri folklore.
A student of BBA 5th Semester, Syed Haamid Bukhari made a PowerPoint presentation on Kashmiri culture. He used quadrant mathematical tool to show the problems Kashmiris culture was facing and highlighted steps to eradicate them from Kashmiri society. The audience appreciated his presentation.
On the occasion, the students presented many cultural programs and skits disseminating awareness messages. Sufi Qawalis and traditional Kashmiri songs presented by Yawar, Momin and Roman were appreciated by the Vice-Chancellor.
Later, HOD, Business School Aijaz Akbar was honored by the vice chancellor. Greater Kashmir and Kashmir Uzma were media partners of the function.
