Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq has left United States of America for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah on the invitation of OIC.
 “Mirwaiz during his stay in Saudi Arabia will first of all perform Umrah. He will later on visit the holy places and finally the Green Tomb of Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Madina Toiba,” said the Hurriyat spokesman in a statement, adding that before leaving US, Mirwaiz met the president of Palestine, Mehmood Abbas and felicitated the Palestinians for taking brave steps to make Palestine a free and independent country.
 Meanwhile, the Hurriyat has welcomed the statement of Prashan Bushan, a senior member of Anna Hazare’s team, in which he had stressed for demilitarization of Kashmir and holding of referendum in the Valley to know the aspirations of its people.
