Srinagar: A fire broke out Thursday at Women’s College MA Road triggering panic in the area.
On seeing the smoke, people from adjoining areas rushed to the spot and tried to extinguish the fire while a team of fire tenders from Gow Kadal Fire Station also reached the spot. Officials said the fire presumably occurred due to electric short circuit while the actual cause was being ascertained.
“Due to short circuit bushes of some trees along the wall had caught fire but we managed to extinguish it timely,” the officials said.
