Legislators refer to GK reports in LA

Srinagar, Sep 29: A day after Greater Kashmir reported that Planning Commission has pointed lapses in the implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes in Jammu and Kashmir, State Secretary of CPI (M), M Y Tarigami, highlighted the issue in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Waving the copy of Greater Kashmir, Tarigami demanded enquiry into the issue. “It is a serious concern and needs to be looked into. These schemes are meant for development of state in general and poor people in particular. Proper implementation of these schemes is must to avail full benefits of the economy benefits extended to the state by the centre,” he said. The senior leader of Panthers Party and former Education Minister, Harsh Dev Singh referred to the news report regarding bungling in implementation of Sarava Shikska Abhiyan scheme in J&K.
