HUJI E-MAIL TRAIL

Jammu, Sep 29: After Harkat-ul-Jehad-al-Islami, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probing the Delhi High Court blast has turned its focus on Hizbul Mujahideen.
Sleuths of NIA, according to the sources, questioned an alleged recruiter of the  Hizbul Mujahideen, Azhar Ali of Kishtwar, detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) and is presently lodged in the Kotbalwal jail.
The NIA team questioned Azhar for three hours to know about some of the youth he had sent for training to Pakistan-administered-Kashmir, sources added.
They said the NIA team questioned Azhar after Abid- the High School boy who  had allegedly sent the HuJI e-mail to media houses had hinted at the involvement of some militants of Hizbul Mujahideen.
While NIA failed to make any headway, it detained Abid's brother from Shillong who expressed complete ignorance about the matter.
“Azhar Ali has been in jail for past two years now. He is unlikely to provide any leads to NIA which has reached at a dead end,” sources said.
When contacted Home Secretary, BR Sharma said, “NIA team might have sought permission to interrogate the militant from some competent authority. I had not given any permission.”
Pertinently, at least 15 persons were killed and fifty others were injured in a powerful bomb explosion outside Delhi High Court last month.
