Woman killed, 8 injured in road accidents
Srinagar, Sep 4: A woman was killed and eight others wounded in separate road accidents across the Valley.
A woman was killed and two others injured when a car bearing registration number (DL6CF-3853) collided with a Tata Mobile bearing registration number (JK03B-7008) near Budroo Srigufwara, Islamabad (Anantnag), police said, adding the deceased had been identified as Rahti wife of Jalal-ud-Din Rather and the injured as Javaid Ahmad Rather and Sareena Akhtar of Veer Saran Srigufwara.
The wounded have been hospitalized, police said adding a case had been registered.
In another incident, a Sumo bearing registration number (JK01G-7926) hit and injured two pedestrians, Hilal Ahmad Mir son of Ali Muhammad and Muhammad Shafi Mir son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Pandithpora near Pandithpora Kunzar, Baramulla, police said adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
A Tata 407 vehicle bearing registration number (JK01E-0742) hit and injured a pedestrian, Farooq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Hassan of Gagoo near Humhama Chowk Budgam, police said adding the wounded had been hospitalized.
A car bearing chassis number (673580) hit and injured a pedestrian, Umar Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad Alie of Kadlabal Pampore near Main Chowk Awantipora, police said adding the injured was hospitalized and a case registered.
A Taveera bearing registration number (JK01P-7605) turned turtle at Check crossing Bulgam Sopore, resulting in injuries to Daram Pal son of Charan Dass of Vijaypur, Jammu, police said adding the wounded had been shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Sumo bearing registration number (JK09-1932) hit and injured Qasir Hussain Khan son of Ghulam Muhammad of Maidan Chogal near Petrol Pump Chogal Handwara, police said adding the wounded had been shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case.
