Birth month influences your career choice: Study

London, Sep 5: A baby's birth month seems to influence his choice of profession later in life, a study suggests.
Researchers commissioned by the Office for National Statistics based their findings on an analysis of birth months of individuals in 19 occupations, derived from the last census, the Telegraph said, quoting reports.
They say the month in which babies are born could affect major aspects of their life, including intelligence and longevity.
For instance, a December-born child would probably become a dentist while someone born in January is likely to be a debt collector.
A February birth appears to increase the chances of being an artist while March babies appear to go on to become pilots, according to the Telegraph.
Births in the summer months like April and May mean a much lower chance of becoming a high-earning football player, doctor or dentist.
Although these trends may be difficult to explain, correlations between birth months and specific health problems have a scientific basis.
Spring babies are at greater risk of illnesses including schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s disease, asthma and autism. They may also be less savvy than classmates born in other parts of the year.
Earlier this year, Russell Foster, Oxford University neuroscientist, said the effects were small ?but they are very, very clear?.
”I am not giving voice to astrology – it’s nonsense - but we are not immune to seasonal interference,” he said. IANS
