JK Bank official tops IGNOU’s MBA
Srinagar, Sep 7: Sameer Khan, a J&K Bank officer has been awarded Gold Medal 2011 by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for securing first position in order of merit in MBA (Banking & Finance).
Sameer received the medal from E Ahmed, Minister of State for External Affairs & Human Resources Development at the 24th Convocation of the University held at Delhi on September 5 where Dalai Lama was the Chief Guest.
The convocation was simultaneously held by IGNOU’s Srinagar Regional Centre at S.P College, here. Dr Showkat A Zargar, Director SKIMS facilitated Sameer’s father Prof Nazir Ahmed Khan on the occasion. Prof. Talat Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor, Kashmir University and Dr Noorul Hassan, Regional Director IGNOU Srinagar were present on the occasion, the bank in a statement said.
