Sogami lays foundation of Ganbugh Community Centre
GROUND FLOOR TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 8 MONTHS
Srinagar, Mar 31: Minister of State for Home and H&UDD, Nasir Sogami Saturday laid foundation stone of Community Centre at Gangbugh. The facility will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.5 crore, an official handout said.
Once complete, the Centre will have all facilities which the people can use for organizing various social functions.
Besides Provincial President, NC, Ali Muhammad Dar, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr GN Qasba and various other senior officers of SMC, PHE and P&DD were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the ground floor of the Centre will be completed within 8 months under ďSpecial Area Development ProgrammeĒ. He released Rs. 2 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for development of playfield, appurtenant to the Community Centre, adding its further facelift will be entrusted to State Sports Council.
The Minister assured the people that Srinagar city will be developed on modern lines and sufficient funds would be earmarked in the next financial year for creating community-related infrastructure.
