City Hunks, Wonder Boys win matches

Srinagar, Apr 9: In the ongoing Vice-Chancellor’s T20 cricket tournament two matches were played at Kashmir University ground here on Monday.
 In the first match, City Hunks thrashed Royal Cricket Club by 154 runs. Batting first City Hunks piled up huge total of 231 runs for the loss of five wickets. Adil with 60 runs and Muneer with 50 runs was highest scorer for them.
 In reply, Royals were bundled out for 77 runs and lost match by 154 runs. Umer Ashraf took three wickets for City Hunks.
 In the second match, Wonder Boys Manasbal defeated Ilahi Bagh Cricket Club by three wickets. Batting first Ilahi Bagh scored 142 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Shajid with 40 runs was highest scorer for them. In reply Wonder Boys achieved required target in 19.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Aijaz and Hilal scored 34 runs each for them. Shahid was adjudged as man of the match for his 25 runs and two wickets.
 Meanwhile in the matches played on Sunday Darbagh CC and Diamond Cricket Club won their matches.
 In the first match, Darbagh Cricket Club defeated ICC Bemina by 28 runs. Batting first Darbagh scored 125 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Waseem with 44 runs was highest scorer for them. In reply ICC Bemina were bundled out for 97 runs. Sameer with 35 was highest scorer for them. Waseem for his 44 was adjudged as man of the match.
 In the second match, Diamond Cricket Club outplayed Sahil-XI by 10 wickets. Batting first Sahil-XI scored 11 runs for the loss of eight wickets.Shuja with 20 was highest scorer for them. In reply Diamond Cricket Club achieved required target in 13 overs without loosing any wicket. Tahir with 48 runs was highest scorer for them and was adjudged as man of the match.
 The event is being organised by Directorate of Physical education and Sports department Kashmir University.
