Uphold human rights: GOC to soldiers

Srinagar, Apr 9: The General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based Chinar Corps Lt General S A Hasnain on Monday asked the soldiers to uphold the human rights.  
 “All our men will certainly uphold the human rights while operating on the ground to enhance the image of the army,” the GOC said while addressing a seminar organized by Victor Force at Awantipora in south Kashmir.    
 He complimented the Victor Force for organising such a seminar to reiterate the importance of human rights to the officers and men deployed on the ground. 
 Major General Gurdeep Singh, General Officer Commanding, Victor Force while speaking on the occasion said, “We want to reiterate to commanders on ground, the importance attached to respecting human rights.”
 Others who spoke on the occasion were Sunil Krishna,  DG (Investigation) NHRC, Lieutenant General (Retd) Mohan Bhandari,  Brigadier Sudhir Rai, Commandant, 92 Base Hospital, Vijay Kumar, DIG (Traffic),  and Rajesh Raina, Editor, ETV.
