2-day conference on English literature concludes

Srinagar, Apr 11: The 2-day conference on “Language through Literature” organized by Government Women’s College, M A Road concluded Wednesday.
 The conference organized by the Department of English aimed at improving the different techniques of teaching.
 Speaking on the occasion Head of the Department Convergent Journalism, Central University of Kashmir, Prof Muhammad Aslam said Kashmir has been the “most fertile land for English in terms of speaking and learning.”
 Writer and academician, Prof Jasbir Jain said: “English is an art which everybody should learn to succeed in every aspect of life.”
 Among others who participated in the event include President Comparative Literature Association, Prof Chandra Mohan and two professors from Jamia Millia Islamia: Anis-ur-Rehman and Ameena Qazi.
 Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Malik has appreciated the college of Principal Prof Mushtaq Ahmad Wani for hosting the event.
