Pokhribal lanes and by-lanes in shambles
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Apr 11: The residents of Naqshbandi Lane, Pokhribal have complained that the lanes and by-lanes of the area were dilapidated.
The residents said: “We time and again drew the attention of the authorities towards the worsening condition of the lanes, especially that of Naqshbandi Lane but to no avail.”
“It is highly deplorable that Srinagar City is being given a step-motherly treatment. Pokhribal which connects Nagin Lake to Anchar Lake by Nallah Amir Khan has remained a tourist attraction in the past. The condition of the roads and small lanes are so bad that even the residents fear to tread on these lanes not to speak of tourists,” said Mohd Amin, a resident of Naqshbandi Lane, Pokhribal.
The locals Wednesday called on SMC Commissioner Dr GN Qasba appealing him to do the needful.
