Jammu, Apr 11: Ronnel Singh emerged as singles champion whereas Ronnel Singh with Stanley Mathews clinch Doubles championship in Inter CPSU Table Tennis Tournament here on Wednesday.
 Ronnel Singh of POWERGRID defeated his teammate Stanley Mathews 4-2 in a thrilling final to clinch the singles championship.
 Earlier Ronel Singh/Stanley Mathews of POWERGRID beat their fellow team mates J. Mukherjee/R.S. Bisht to lift the doubles title.
 After the matches the closing ceremony was held in which prizes and medals were distributed among the players and match officials. The closing ceremony was chaired by Principal Secretary PDD, Sudhanshu Pandey, S.C.Singh , Executive Director NRTS-II, O.P.Thakur, Executive Director NHPC, Kiran Wattal , Secretary J&K Sports Council, Jagmohan Sharma, GM(O&M), S.K.Sharma, GM(Projects), A.K.Srivastava , AGM(ES), S.D.Joshi, AGM(C&M), Pramod Kumar, DGM(F), Stanley Mathews  and Chief Manager (HR) were among the prominent persons who graced the occasion.
  Sudhanshu Pandey distributed the prizes among the winners. In his brief address he complimented POWERGRID for efficiently conducting the tournament.
 He urged upon PSUs and other Government departments to restore the glory of sports in India . “Those who indulge in sports are always good performers” he said. He congratulated the Winners for their success.
  In his concluding remarks Sh. S.C.Singh congratulated the winners and encouraged other players to perform better in future to attain success. He highlighted the importance of sports in our daily lives and praised the efforts of POWERGRID  in arranging various sports events to keep its employees mentally and physically fit. Vote of thanks was presented by Stanley Mathews, Chief Manager(HR).
