Water scarcity in Rawal Pora, PHE sleeps
Srinagar, Apr 11: Around a thousand households at Rawal Pora areas like Alamdar Colony and LD Colony are facing water shortage for the past around the fortnight while the PHE has failed to restore the supplies, the locals complained.
They said most of the taps were running dry and they have to get water from adjoining colonies for drinking and washing. The locals said as they failed to get any respite, they called their neighbor and prominent journalist Salim Pandith, who was facing the same problem. But this too didn’t work.
“I contacted (Minister for PHE) Taj Mohi UD Din who had assured that the supply would be instantly restored. But days on, the problem persists,” Pandit told Greater Kashmir.
When contacted the Chief Engineer PHE said the matter would be looked into.
