This refers to the report that appeared in GK, April 8. An order issued by the then Deputy Commissioner Anantnag (NoDEO/Ang/2010/15022-25 dated 12-07-2010) reads that pursuant to the retirementof the then Tehsildar Kokernag, I (Muzaffar Ahmad Malik), who was then NaibTehsildar, was ordered to hold charge of Tehsil Kokernag. After taking over asthe Tehsildar, Kokernag, I was given drawing and disbursing powers vide government order (No 1486-87/dca/pa dated 19-01-2011). The order followed a series of communication between authorities at District Administration level Revenue department over problems which had cropped in absence of the powers to the official. “It is intimated that the drawing and disbursing powers, which have not been conferred as yet, are required to be conferred to Muzaffar Ahmed Malik Tehsildar Kokernag for Account heads 2053-district Administration, 2029-LR and2056LR,” Deputy Commissioner Anantnag had mentioned in the order. The order further reads: “Accordingly the officer holding the charge of Tehsildar, Kokernag shall exercise automatically the drawing and disbursing powers as delegated videGovernment Order No: Rev/ Acctts/181 of 2007 dated  29-05-2007 issued by the Financial advisor and CAO, Revenue Department.” I continue to work at my place (Kokernag). I have not received any order on my transfer.
