Sehrai pays tributes to Zubair Bhat
Srinagar Apr 12: The general secretary of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai on Thursday paid glowing tributes to Shaheed Zubair Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Mohalla Jamia Qadeem, Sopore, on his second martyrdom anniversary.
“Zubair was forced to jump into river Jhelum from old bridge, Sopore, as the police and other armed forces ran after him amid firing and teargas shelling. He achieved martyrdom by drowning. Zubair’s brother, Ahsan-ul-Haq had also been martyred in the firing by the armed forces on September 4, 2006, while he (Ahsan) was busy buying goods in the market,” said Sehrai, according to Tehreek statement.
Expressing solidarity with the Zubair’s parents, Sehria has reiterated that the freedom struggle will continue till its objective is completely achieved.
