VHAI organizes meet
Srinagar, Apr 12: Voluntary Health Association of India and J&K Voluntary Health Association Thursday organized a bi-monthly strategic meeting for Tobacco Control Laws and Measures with its 35 members of Coalition Partner NGOs at its Office Headquarters at Pandrethan.
“The aim of the meeting was to sensitize the coalition partners and discuss the plans and strategies for ensuring the full implementation of the Tobacco Control Act in Kashmir Valley,” a handout said.
“Dr Professor Abdul Majeed, HOD Community Medicine SKIMS, Shabir Ahmad Lone, Food Safety Officer, Srinagar, Er Ghulam Nabi Mir Lasjan, SE (Retd) A.M Mir (IAS Retd) Executive Director, A.K Wani, Sr Programme Officer were the resource persons for the meeting, besides Balbir Singh and Saleem Malik District Coordinators of J&K VHA,” the handout added.
