11-day financial literacy program concludes
Srinagar, Apr 13: An 11-day training programme on financial literacy and skill enhancement at JK Bank RSETI Shopian concluded today.
The multi-pronged program on financial literacy and Skill Enhancement on Chain Stitch, Crewel and Sozni work was attended by 32 trainees hailing from rural areas of the town.
The program was designed to impart training to girls with a thrust on women entrepreneurship, a statement here said.
Speaking at the valedictory function the Additional District Development Commissioner Atta Ullah Simnani lauded the role of RSETI in promoting the women entrepreneurship by imparting training to females so that they are able to earn their living and lessen the burden of their parents.
He assured the trainees all possible help by the department by actively involving all the line offices of the district including Banks to provide every facility for setting up of entrepreneurial units of these trainees.
He also lauded the role of J&K Bank for its reach out programmes and extensive financial support and coverage under various Government sponsored schemes.
Director RSETI, Aijaz A Banday while elaborating on the role of RSETIs said the success of the training programmes lies in setting up of the small units to provide self employment.
