This refers to the article “The Bijbehara Wetland” by Syed Aadil (GK, 11-04-12). The irreparable loss of Bijbehara wetland, and the resultant disturbance of ecological balance on account of the construction of commercial centre and Sumo stand, is regrettable. It speaks volumes about the lack of responsibility and reckless attitude of administration and general public towards the environment.
