Haft Sadat lanes in shambles
SYED IMRAN ALI HAMDANI
Srinagar, Apr 15: The residents of Haft Sadat Masjid area of Makdhoom Sahib in Shaher-e-Khaas have appealed the local MLA to get the area by-lanes repaired at an earliest.
The residents said: “Srinagar Municipal Corporation had undertaken the construction work of the by-lanes. But unfortunately it didn’t turn out well”.
The inhabitants alleged that substandard material was used in the work.
“As of now, we are victims. Water inundates our lanes and finally seeps into houses due to which the buildings developed cracks,” they added.
Majid Makhoomi, a resident said: “The manholes often remain choked as the sewage water starts overflowing the by-lanes.”
He added that the devotees were facing difficulties in thronging the Makdhoom Sahib (RA) shrine.
The residents appealed the local MLA, Ali Muhammad Sagar to look into the matter at an earliest.
