Shatoosh trade

This refers to news report about dying art of Shahtoosh trade due to ban on killing of Chiru Antelope, the endangered species. This fine traditional Kashmiri art will become extinct if immediate steps are not taken for its revival. The idea of rearing the chiru Antelope in captivity, and obtaining its wool without killing the animal, seems to be the only viable solution to resurrect this dying trade. The state government should take all the measures before it is too late.
