KCC, FOREST XI WIN MATCHES
V-C’S CRICKET TOURNAMENT
Srinagar, Apr 16: In the ongoing Vice-Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Tournament, two matches were played at Kashmir University ground on Monday.
In the first match, Khanyar Cricket Club (KCC) defeated Syed Cricket Club Habak by five wickets. Batting first, KCC scored 113 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 20 overs. Owais with unbeaten 47 was highest scorer for them. In reply, KCC achieved required target in 18.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Fayaz scored 43 runs for them. Shahnawaz for 35 runs and two wickets was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second match, Forest-XI defeated Poineer Cricket Club by 35 runs. Batting first, Forest-XI scored 155 runs for the loss of five wickets in allotted overs. Basharat with 50 runs was highest scorer for them while Tanveer scored 44. In reply, Poineer Cricket Club could manage only 120 runs for the loss of seven wickets in allotted overs. Ubaid with 27 runs was highest scorer for them. Basharat was adjudged as man of the match.
